Like playing in the garden, immersing in nature, coffee with an old friend, and of course –
clean, natural skincare - without the confusion.
Nature’s Apothecary Cosmetics (NAC) is a natural skincare studio on the Mornington Peninsula.
All of our products are handmade, vegan, cruelty free and palm oil free – using gentle, plant-based oils for a smoother, brighter and nourished complexion.
But more than that, we give nature lovers and earth defenders complete control over the ingredients they put on their skin.
We’re an effective solution for those that care about our planet and holistic wellbeing – but don’t have the time to sift through an endless list of ingredients and baffling acronyms.
This is skincare, that cares.
My journey first began as a personal pursuit for natural skincare.
I was tired of feeling like I needed a degree in chemistry to understand what I was putting on my skin. So, I visited a workshop in Melbourne and became instantly hooked on the idea of creating natural products at home, with complete control over the ingredients and supply chain.
Shortly after, my kitchen transformed into (what my husband described as) an alchemy lab.
I started creating products, for hours on end, with trials, errors, wins and tears along the way.
And as an advocate for a slow, low-waste lifestyle, I would do my best to source local ingredients and salvage all my packaging materials.
At first, I was simply creating for myself.
But shortly after, I began creating for friends.
Then by word of mouth, recommendations and return orders came flooding in.
Today, 6 years into my skincare journey, I’ve refined and expanded my product range. And now I’m ready to share them with you.
I’m so excited to have you here.
“I have always had sensitive skin and have been careful with what I use. I tried the pink clay olive oil soap from NAC and loved it! It’s mild but it works, and it’s so gentle I even use it on my face. My skin feels fresh, soft and never dehydrated after use.”
Our love for nature is reflected in our actions. We source local ingredients, wherever possible, and are working hard behind the scenes to reduce and reuse our packaging.
We believe in creating natural skincare for every body. We welcome all walks of life, regardless of gender and background, to embrace natural skincare.
o Cruelty Free
We never test on animals, and we carefully select our suppliers to ensure they uphold these cruelty free standards, too.
We don’t greenwash or bend the truth to make a sale. If we say it’s compostable, it’s compostable. If we say it’s locally sourced, we mean it.
We are proudly supporting The Orangutan Project with monthly donations, to protect the Bukit Tigapuluh Ecosystem in Sumatra.
This precious piece of rainforest will be protected by wildlife rangers, helping to create a safe haven for critically endangered orangutans desperately need to survive.
Within the protected rainforest, some of the very last populations of Sumatran tigers, elephants and orangutans will continue to roam and breed in safety, just as they had done for thousands of years before land clearing, poaching and fires almost wiped them from our planet.
When I’m not handmaking skincare and blending gorgeous oils, I’ll occasionally reach out with updates, news and specials.
We acknowledge the Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work. We pay respect to their Elders past, present and future.
We will be busy visiting family & friends overseas
and moving to Central Victoria.
Watch this space, we will be back
bigger and better once the studio is set up!
Thank you for your support xx
